IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference
29 March - 1 April 2021 // Nanjing, China / Hybrid On-line Conference
Shaping the Wireless Future

Message from the Technical Program Chairs

It is a great honor to welcome you to the 2021 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference (WCNC 2021), 29 March – 1 April 2021, Nanjing, China. You will find an exciting technical program including 78 technical sessions reporting on advances in physical, network, and application layer technologies, 9 tutorials by world-class experts, and 6 panels covering many business and technical aspects of wireless communications, systems and applications. The program also includes 10 workshops covering several hot and emerging topics that are of significant interest to both industry and academia.

The technical sessions are organized in 4 different tracks: Fundamentals and PHY, MAC and Cross-Layer Design, Wireless Networks, and finally Emerging Technologies, Architectures and Services. The conference received 735 paper submissions, among which 359 papers were accepted after a careful review process. Only 3 accepted papers were lost during the final paper submission and 356 are included in the conference program. Due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic and travel restrictions, the conference will be in a hybrid format with 44 physical sessions at the conference venue and 33 virtual sessions taking place in virtual Zoom meeting rooms. Virtual sessions are scheduled so as to allow authors from different countries to be present on-line to answer questions after their pre-recorded presentations. In addition, the WCNC 2021 workshops received 135 submissions among which 67 papers were accepted. The program of the Workshops includes 14 physical sessions and 6 virtual sessions.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to the workshops chairs, tutorials chairs, panels chairs, track chairs, and technical program committee members and reviewers. Preparation of this outstanding program would not have been possible without their dedication and hard work.

We hope that you will enjoy the technical program and we look forward to meeting you physically in Nanjing or virtually at IEEE WCNC 2021.
